There are many charities in Britain bringing children from the Chernobyl affected regions of Belarus for recuperative holidays, and you can find information about most of them on this website.
All the charities invite children as part of a local group, so they can get together regularly, and they travel with an interpreter.
Families generally find that hosting the children is a happy and rewarding experience and in the majority of cases the children look forward at the end of their holiday to going home to Belarus to tell their parents about the wonderful time they have had.
Most of the charities involved with the children of Belarus also deliver aid and support projects to help some of the children who are not able to travel.
Collectively, we are raising funds to support the Belarusian Children's Hospice.
